People that are from one of the above mentioned countries do not need to obtain a visa. Once they get their passport they will receive a 30-day work visa stamp that will allow them to temporarily work within the country. A person can also extend the free 30-day visa stamp for an additional 30 days when they renew their work visa at least 3 days before the first visa expires.
Any country that is not included within the list above requires foreigners to pick up their work visa from an UAE embassy and consulate within their country. They can also receive a work visa through authorized travel agents.

If an individual wants to live within Dubai for an extended period for the purpose of work; they will need to apply for a residence visa. The following steps outlines this process:
• A person must get a residence visa before they can apply for a work visa. Once again, this is for long term stays.
• They will then need to have several passport-size photographs for their IDs.
• An original passport and a copy will be needed as well.
• A valid company card will be required.
• A valid commercial license of an employer’s company will also be required.
• There is an application fee.
• A person also must have valid health insurance at the time that they apply. The government will conduct various medical tests for a person applying for this type of visa.
• They also must possess an entry permit that has been given to them by the ministry of labor.
